At the start of 2026, we welcomed Tom Killigrew to LUX Technical as our new Operations Manager.
Tom officially joined the business in January, having spent time with us towards the end of 2025 getting to know our warehouse operations, systems and team. He is now responsible for overseeing our three warehouse facilities across Market Deeping and Peterborough, along with the teams that support the day-to-day preparation, movement and management of equipment throughout the business.
While Tom is new to the live events and technical production industry, he brings a wealth of operational leadership experience gained through a varied and successful career managing people, facilities, projects and complex operational environments.
Prior to joining LUX, Tom worked as Project Manager for Nene Park Trust and previously spent several years with Anglian Water, progressing from Park Ranger through to Estate Manager in just four years. During that time, he was responsible for managing teams, coordinating workloads, overseeing health and safety, managing visitor facilities, maintaining large asset inventories and delivering operational improvements across busy public-facing sites. Alongside this practical experience, Tom has continued to invest in his own professional development through leadership, project management and health and safety training.
What stood out to us throughout the recruitment process was Tom’s practical approach to leadership. Whether managing a team, organising large-scale maintenance programmes, overseeing events, implementing new systems or ensuring operational standards are maintained, Tom has built a reputation for being hands-on, highly organised and willing to lead from the front.
Tom also brings formal IOSH Managing Safely and CITB CDM (Construction Design Management) qualifications to the role, providing valuable knowledge around safe systems of work, risk management and project delivery.
As LUX continues to grow, investing in our operational structure is just as important as investing in new technology. With an expanding inventory, multiple warehouse locations and increasing project demands, Tom’s role is focused on ensuring our warehouse operation remains efficient, organised and scalable for the future.
Those who have already worked with Tom will know that organisation is something he takes seriously.
In his own words,
a tidy workshop and well-organised working environment are a reflection of the people using it
a philosophy that aligns closely with the standards we strive to maintain across our warehouses and operations. His attention to detail, commitment to high standards and ability to get the best out of people have already made a positive impact on the business.
We’re delighted to have Tom on board and look forward to seeing the contribution he will make as we continue to grow.
Welcome to the team, Tom.
